Marianna Ladreyt is a fashion designer whose field of research lies at the crossroads of new imaginaries, myths and modernity. Her work takes us into another phantasmagorical dimension where metamorphoses are limitless.
A recurring theme in Marianna’s work is the illusions that, even if only for a second, deceive the eye. The designer hijacks objects (ropes, plastic buoys, sheets) whose aesthetic potential was largely underestimated. “For my thesis, I researched the “flâneur”, the poetic figure of the observant and contemplative wanderer who never stops trying to understand the world.
A graduate of the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam and the Beaux-arts in Toulouse and a finalist at the Hyères International Fashion Festival in 2017, Marianna Ladreyt is also a Laureate of the Grand Prix de la Création de la Ville de Paris in 2019.
